Thank you for your interest in presenting at Project ACT's annual conference. Please read all of the information below before submitting your proposal as it contains important details about being a presenter at the conference. This conference is in person and in a new location that will provide ample space and technology.

The conference is expected to draw approximately 150-200 participants. All sessions will be 90 minutes in length. The number of participants per session will vary based on registration. Workshop sessions should include interactive large and small group activities that encourage involvement and active participation of all attendees, while meeting the needs of adult learners. We welcome presenters who are willing to present the same session multiple times.

 

This year’s theme is Inclusion Starts Now: Nurturing Equity in Early Childhood Education. Some potential presentation topics might include:

• Ableism
• Developmentally Appropriate Practices
• Gender Identity
• Inequities and Inequalities in ECCE
• Inclusion and Disabilities
• Multilingual Children
• Multiple Intelligences/Learning Styles
• Play and the Importance of it in Wellbeing
• Race and Racism in ECCE
• Social Emotional development
• Strengths Based Approach
• Trauma and its Impacts
• Universal Design for Learning

 

There is a modest honorarium for any presenter chosen to present who meets conference guidelines. Project ACT is pleased to provide technology including screens and projectors to all presenters. All presenters will be required to submit their presentation materials (slide deck, handouts, etc.) to Project ACT by September 1^st, 2024.

• Notice of acceptance 4/15/2024
• Conference registration opens 6/1/2024
• Speaker’s presentation materials submitted by 9/1/2024
