Project ACT has been awarded a generous grant from the Maryland State Department of Education to offer child care providers trainings in the area of special needs. As part of this grant, if you provide care for children ages birth through 3 years old, you have the ability to receive training and technical assistance.
**In order to receive a certificate of completion for core of knowledge hours, providers MUST ATTEND THE TWO TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SESSIONS.**
Providers will receive the two core of knowledge hours in professionalism for the two follow up technical assistance sessions. Certificates are given following the second technical assistance session, please plan accordingly.
Technical Assistance Dates: Wednesday, October 3rd (6:30-7:30 pm)
Wednesday, October 17th (6:30-7:30 pm)

Keys to Inclusion and Behavior Management with Technical Assistance
This training addresses best practices in Early Childhood Education with regards to inclusion and behavior management. Through hands-on activities and experiences, teachers will explore and increase their familiarity with best practices, such as an engaging classroom arrangement, balanced visual schedules, effective transitions, how to best utilize classroom staff, using proactive language for behavior management, and the importance of teaching about emotions.
Core of Knowledge Area 5 hours: Curriculum (2 hours) & Special Needs (1 hour) & Professionalism (2 hours); Level: Beginner to Intermediate
