Developmentally Appropriate Practice: Recognizing the Essentials

This training teaches about the essentials of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (known as DAP) so that teachers can use knowledge about child development to create a program that is suitable for the age and stage of development of the children in their group. It covers the five essentials of DAP, which are age appropriateness, individual appropriateness, child-guided and teacher-guided experiences, cultural and social responsiveness, and play.
