Join us for a professional development event designed to help you support children birth to three years old who have special needs. Thanks to funding provided by the Maryland State Department of Education, the registration fee for this event is only $5.
This professional development series consists of one 2-hour training session, and two 1-hour follow up technical assistance sessions. The series is designed to encourage in-depth learning that supports each participant’s ability to implement strategies and techniques that support infants and toddlers with special needs. In order to receive a certificate of completion for core of knowledge hours, providers MUST attend the entire series, including both technical assistance sessions.
Training Session
Now, Doesn’t That Make Sense – This training introduces the participant to sensory processing dysfunction and sensory integration disorder and provides many easy-to-use strategies to implement in your classroom setting to address various sensory needs for all children.

Coaching and Support Sessions
Enhanced Technical Assistance for this series will be provided in partnership with PACT: Helping Children with Special Needs, a program of the Kennedy Krieger Institute. An occupational therapist who provides care and support to families with young children with special needs will be the guest speaker during each technical assistance session. Attendance at BOTH sessions is required to receive a certificate.
Coaching and Support Dates (must attend BOTH):
November 3, 2021 (6:30 pm-7:30 pm)
November 17, 2021 (6:30 pm-7:30 pm)
Core of Knowledge Area: Professionalism (2 hours)
**Certificates for the entire series are given AFTER the second technical assistance session, please plan accordingly.**

Each participant will need individual access to a computer, smartphone or tablet. Specific webinar access details will be sent prior to the training.
