In this virtual workshop, Matila S. Jones, II, MS, HS-BCP will discuss the knowledge and skills needed to promote equity and inclusion in your classrooms. Through a combination of informative content, group discussions, and reflective exercises, participants will explore key concepts related to anti-racism in ECE. The presentation will begin by examining the importance of anti-racist education and its impact on young children’s development. Participants will then delve into the ABC’s framework, which will guide them through practical strategies and tools for integrating anti-racist practices into their teaching. Throughout the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences, and collaborate with fellow educators. By the end of the session, participants will leave feeling inspired and empowered to create positive change in their classrooms and communities.
