Liberty and Justice for All: Anti-Bias Education Community of Practice

Project ACT is recruiting a cohort of early childhood educators to support anti-bias education in a variety of child care settings with national speaker, Ijumaa Jordan!

All Educators interested anti-bias early care and education are invited to apply to be a part of this amazing learning experience.

Participants will examine popular “diversity activities” to refresh and align classroom experience with the anti-bias education goals for adults and for children. Additionally, participants will study and use a culturally responsive framework to analyze current early childhood education policies and practices based upon real-life scenarios. Participants are invited to this intentional place to study, question, and do the complex work of teaching full of purpose, intention, and joy.

The sessions are co-learning experiences that will support participants' ethical responsibility to create and sustain early education programs that are play-based, inclusive, culturally responsive, and equitable. Between the sessions participants will be required to do a field study which will be integrating the 4 anti-bias goals into their current curriculum.
