Project ACT has been awarded a generous grant from the Maryland State Department of Education to offer child care providers trainings in the area of special needs. As part of this grant, if you provide care for children ages birth through 3 years old, you have the ability to receive training and technical assistance.
**In order to receive a certificate of completion for core of knowledge hours, providers MUST register AND attend the two follow up technical assistance sessions. Providers will receive two additional core of knowledge hours in professionalism for the two follow up technical assistance sessions. Certificates are given following the second technical assistance session, please plan accordingly.**
Technical Assistance Dates:
March 10, 2020 (6:30 pm-7:30 pm)
March 24, 2020 (6:30 pm-7:30 pm)
This training provides an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and helps participants understand the complexities related to working with children with ASD. It reviews current research and types of successful intervention strategies. Participants learn practical strategies for assisting children with ASD in the classroom.
