In this interactive training, participants will learn the definition of obesity and the factors that are leading to a rise in the obesity rates of children (and adolescents). Participants will discover strategies to utilize in their child care setting and curriculum to encourage healthy eating habits and movement activities for all young children.

Core of Knowledge Area: Curriculum (1.5 hour) and Health, Safety & Nutrition (1.5 hour); Level: Beginner to Advanced
