Project ACT has been awarded a generous grant from the Maryland State Department of Education to offer child care providers free special needs trainings. As a part of this grant, if you provide care for children ages birth through 3 years old and participate in technical assistance after the training, you can attend free Core of Knowledge trainings on a variety of special needs topics and receive 2 additional Core of Knowledge hours in professionalism. Space is limited and pre registration is mandatory.

From this training, participants gain an understanding of resiliency, and the important role attachment plays in helping children. Participants will learn factors that contribute to the formation of attachment relationships and discover intervention strategies that can be used to promote resiliency in children.

Core of Knowledge Area: Child Development (3 hours); Level: Beginner
