During this training, providers will work to understand individual differences in development among all children to better understand how to meet the children’s needs. Providers will rethink and reframe children’s challenging behaviors as unique traits relating to the child in order to find ways to meet their needs in a supportive way. Additionally, this training will work on replacing common labeling language (such as “picky eater” or “bossy”) with strengths-based descriptions.
