Including Little Learners Series – Understanding Temperament

Thanks to funding provided by the Maryland State Department of Education, the registration fee for this event is only $5.

In this training, participants will learn the definition of temperament and its nine traits, the three main types of temperament and the term, ‘goodness of fit.’ Through partner discussions, chart activities and case scenarios, participants will actively investigate the best ways to create an environment that will allow for differences in temperament. Temperament as it relates to children with special needs will be explored along with strategies to encourage peer-modeling and the building of social skills.

 In order to receive a certificate of completion for core of knowledge hours, providers MUST attend the entire series, including all 3 parts.

Part 1: February 15, 2023 (6:30 pm-9:30 pm)

Core of Knowledge Area 3 hours: Child Development (2 hours) & Special Needs (1 hour)

Part 2: March 1, 2023 – 6:30pm-7:30pm

Part 3: March 8, 2023 – 6:30pm-7:30pm

Core of Knowledge Area for Parts 2 & 3: Professionalism (2 hours).

 

Technical Assistance Sessions

Enhanced Technical Assistance for this series will be provided in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University, School of Education. Dr. Beth Boyle will be the guest speaker during each technical assistance session,  offering insight and expertise on providing an inclusive environment for all children.
