Our Mission

The Child Resource Center of Baltimore County at Abilities Network Project ACT serves all licensed child care providers in Baltimore County to support professional development, enhanced program quality, and the successful inclusion of all children through onsite technical assistance, access to high quality Core of Knowledge training and a Resource Room.

Families

The Child Resource Center at Project ACT supports parents by helping them search for child carefind resources for a child with social, emotional or behavioral issues, access  home visits to supplement classroom support, and access special education advocacy and support

Professionals

The Child Resource Center at Project ACT offers training and continuing education opportunities for free professional technical assistance for start up or continued operation of a child care business, a resource room and lending library, and resources and tools for educators.

Community

The Child Resource Center at Project ACT distributes a newsletter on early childhood topics, offers training and continuing education opportunities for professionals, supports child care programs in Title 1 areas, provides speakers on child development and child care related topics.

Program Highlights

Project ACT provides professional development to over 2,000 child care providers annually throughout the state of Maryland and inclusive support services to approximately 100 children each year in the Baltimore metropolitan region. With the support of foundations and government funders, Project ACT focuses on improving the quality of child care and the school readiness of all children.
