Mentor Development Cohort

Project ACT is seeking experienced Family Child Care Providers in Baltimore, Harford and Cecil counties to participate in a 12 week professional development series focused on developing advanced mentoring skills. Cohort participants will be asked to mentor newly licensed family childcare providers and those seeking to become licensed.

Project ACT is seeking 20 applicants to participate in the cohort. The cohort will run for 12 weeks from September 2023 through November 2023 and will include:

  • Cultivating Inclusion Training Series (9 COK Hours)
  • Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN) Training Series (12 COK Hours)
  • Community of Practice (5 Hours, PAU eligible)
  • Pre-work and follow up work to be completed asynchronously between sessions (Approx. 1 Hour/Week)
  • Stipend of $5000 for those who successfully complete the training program
  • Mentoring new family child care providers, with a stipend of $500 per mentee* (10-15 Hours per mentee)

*Mentoring will occur between September 2023 - June 2024, mentees will be assigned by Project ACT, number of mentees is not guaranteed

Application deadline is June 23, 2023 by 2pm and space is limited. Participation is free for selected applicants.
