Project ACT has been awarded an EARN grant through the Maryland Department of Labor. The EARN initiatives includes workforce development to meet employers' needs, provide training and supports for employees to meet child care standards and to support gainful employment. The EARN grant allows Project ACT the ability to support child care professionals to not only meet but surpass expectations of employers. Project ACT will be starting the Early Education Empowerment Alliance (EEEA) in January 2025. Participants of EEEA will engage in a six month coaching and training program designed to help them enter the child care industry or move into a lead teacher role. Participants will complete all necessary training required by the Office of Child Care (for free) and receive group and individual support in finding gainful employment. From training to resume building to job shadowing, this program provided for free will enable any Maryland resident in obtaining a fulfilling career working with Maryland's youngest residents!
